1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CompliantCA ("the Service"), operated by CompliantCA ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CompliantCA provides tools to help California employers create and manage Workplace Violence Prevention Plans, incident logs, and training records for SB 553 compliance. The Service is a compliance management tool and does not provide legal advice.

3. Not Legal Advice

The Service is not a substitute for professional legal counsel. Plans, templates, and guidance generated by CompliantCA are designed to help you meet SB 553 requirements, but we recommend having your compliance documents reviewed by a qualified attorney or safety professional. We are not liable for any penalties, fines, or legal consequences resulting from your use of the Service.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid features are billed on a monthly or annual subscription basis. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your current billing period. Refunds are available within 14 days of your initial purchase. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service. We do not sell your data. You may export your data at any time. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with other users, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CompliantCA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
